As part of the civic education program of the Leading Change Across the Mediterranean project, the Arab Institute for Human Rights conducted a four-day training workshop for community leaders in Tunisia. The training put a particular focus on teamwork and conflict management, strategic thinking, as well as communication and advocacy skills. In addition to that, it sought to enhance the understanding of the role of community leadership.
The workshops program was based on a curriculum that had been developed by Tunisian and Egyptian trainers in collaboration the project team of C·A·P, the John D. Gerhart Center of the American University in Cairo and AIHR at a workshop in Tunisia that took place in September 2012.
