Chinese PhD students at C·A·P

Cooperation with the Centre for European Studies at Renmin University of China

C·A·P's director Prof. Werner Weidenfeld welcomes two PhD students from Renmin University of China (Beijing) at the Center for Applied Policy Research. Wang Xiaojing and Wang Xiaochang are staying for three month at the Center in order to conduct research on the economic integration of the new member states within the European Union.

Their work contributes to the collaborative research project The Impact of EU Enlargement on European Integration and the Global Political Economy which the C·A·P jointly conducts with the Centre for European Studies at Renmin University. They are first in a series of students and research fellows coming to Europe within the next one and a half years in the project's framework.

The collaborative research project is supported by the European Commission in the context of the EU-China European Studies Centres Programme.
