More than one democracy - Workshop

Workshop zur gleichnamigen Publikation mit Uki Maroshek-Klarman. Für erfahrene Betzavta Trainerinnen und Trainer. Workshop will be held in English.

Seit Erscheinen des Programms „Betzavta" hat Dr. Maroshek-Klarman, Leiterin des „Adam Insitute for Democracy and Peace", gemeinsam mit ihrem Team das Konzept in verschiedene Richtungen erweitert und an aktuelle Entwicklungen und politische Fragestellungen der Demokratie angepasst. Dies umfasst sowohl ein neues Curriculum als auch die Bearbeitung neuer Themen wie Multikulturalismus, Feminismus, Nachhaltigkeit,, Bürgergesellschaft Demokratisierung des Bildungssystems und Fragen der Demokratie in Zeiten von Internet und Globalisierung Diese Trainer/innen-Fortbildung bietet erfahrenen Betzavta-Trainer/nnen die einmalige Möglichkeit, an einem Training teilzunehmen, das direkt von den Entwicklern des Programms angeleitet wird und so ein tiefgehendes Verständnis für konzeptionelle Grundidee dieses Demokratie-Lernprogramms zu entwickeln als auch eine Reihe von Übungen miteinander zu erleben.

Since the publication of the Betzavta method and basic manual, Dr. Maroshek-Klarman, in collaboration with Adam staff, has expanded the basic concepts in several directions and adapted the methodology to current times. This includes educational programs/curricula as well as exploration of additional themes such as multiculturalism, feminism, sustainability, civic society, democratization of the education system, and democracy in the age of internet and globalization. The advanced training course in English, held over the course of 4 days, will provide an overview of the methodological developments as well as practical examples and workshops.

This workshop provides the uniquie opportunity of getting an in-depth training with the developers of the Betzavta-method. It is suitable for experienced trainers actively working with Betzavta in Germany and internationally.The number of participants will be limited to 20.

Dr. Uki Maroshek-Klarmann: Jerusalem. Educational Director of Adam Institute for Democracy and Peace in Jerusalem. Together with her team she developed numerous educational programs on equal rights and conflict resolution- as the in Germany most popular program "Betzavta".
