Sino-American relations in 2002

July 11/12, 2002, Munich, Germany

13.07.2002 · Improving Responsiveness

The roundtable entitled "From "strategic competition" to "constructive cooperation"? - Taking stock of Sino-American relations in 2002" took place at the C·A·P in Munich on July 11 and 12, 2002. It was a follow-up to another conference, which took place in 2001 and focused on EU-China relations. This time, the debate concentrated on Sino-American relations, but without disregarding the European perspective. Participants spent two intense days discussing the latest trends on topics such as the changing paradigms in Sino-American relations, arms control and non-proliferation, and China's WTO accession. All the conference documentation, including the participants' papers, can be downloaded from this website.
