In the past, agriculture and nature conservation have often been seen to be in opposition. That both may benefit from each other shows the independent study "Biodiversity for Food and Agriculture" by Hope Shand, conducted for the FAO's sustainable development department. It gives you details on biodiversity with regards to genetic resources of farm animals, forests, fish, and soil only to chose a few.

Consequences is a magazine free of charge published by the US Global Change Research Information Office (GCRIO) as a public service, to provide reliable assessments of practical concerns related to the national and international consequences of changes in the global environment. All past issues, dating back to 1995, are available online and cover topics such as impacts of a projected depletion of the ozone layer or climate, ecology, and human health.
