The Research Group Youth and Europe

The Research Group Youth and Europe is acting Europe-wide as a scientific advice center for political and youth education. The group is part of the Center for Applied Policy Research of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.
The Research Group Youth and Europe is focussing in its work on three essential areas which are closely intertwined:

Youth and educational work with emphasis on European issues

Intercultural competence and democracy education

Strengthening of the youth participation in Europe
The group takes up relevant current issues and develops and provides innovative methods for political education.
Our basic work principle is: Political educational work is not simply to impart knowledge but also to encourage critical thinking amongst young citizens about the respective topics.
We analyse current developments and on this basis we offer advisory and educational service.
