Introductory and advanced programmes at the Center for Applied Policy Research

The Center for Applied Policy Research (C·A·P) offers students and young professionals from all over the world introductory or advanced seminars on European affairs. The programmes aim at providing the participants with a broad understanding of the institutional developments and the political, economic and legal aspects of the European integration process. A particular focus is also put on important policies and issue areas such as economic and monetary integration, the EU’s role in international affairs, European science and technology policy or the role of Germany in the European Union. The duration of the programmes varies between one and four weeks.

The programmes are either open calls for application, as in the case of the European Studies Intensive Course, or they are specifically developed for partner universities and other  institutions associated with the University of Munich and the C·A·P. Currently there are partner programmes for undergraduate or Masters students from Peking University (PKU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Tsinghua University of Peking and Chulalongkorn University of Bangkok. The seminars are mainly conducted at the C·A·P and the University of Munich but also include teaching components in Brussels, Vienna or Berlin. Some courses are also  conducted directly at the partner university.

Additionally, the C·A·P also participates in the European University that has been founded under the sponsorship of the European Academy of Sciences.
