C·A·P Director Prof. Werner Weidenfeld and C·A·P Deputy Director Josef Janning welcome two Chinese guest researchers at the Center for Applied Policy Research: Dr. Sun Long and Dr. Tang Haihua, both from Renmin University (Beijing), are staying for one month at C·A·P in the framework of the collaborative research project The Impact of EU Enlargement on European Integration and the Global Political Economy, which the C·A·P jointly runs with the Centre for European Studies at Renmin University.

Dr. Sun Long is working on "European Elections and the European Voter Model: Explaining the Democratic Deficit of Surpanational Governance in the European Union" and Dr. Tang Haihua's research deals with "The Evolution of Internal Institutional Tensions in the European Commission: Challenges from EU Enlargement".
