On the occasion of the visit of Mr. Stephen Feinberg (National Director of Teacher Outreach United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, DC) at the C·A·P, on May 18th, 2005 Eva Feldmann-Wojtachnia (Senior Research Fellow of the Research Group Youth & Europe at the C·A·P presented the latest results of the online survey on "How do young people remember the Holocaust?".
The survey had been launched in the context of "2005: 60th Anniversary of the End of the Second World War and Year of Remembrance" which offered a stage for various events about the Holocaust and gave additional possibility to commemoration. Over 500 young people the average age being 22, participated in the survey which had been available online for two months. The study by the Research Group Youth & Europe does not claim being representative, but can show some interesting tendencies on how history is faced and on what can be its impact on learning and teaching "Democracy, Tolerance and Human Rights" today.
