The conference Decision Makers 2010 drew to Hong Kong thirty-four rising and senior leaders from business, politics, academia and non-governmental organizations in Asia, North America and Europe to consider three important threads in world developments:

• The changing meaning of legitimacy in a globalized world
• How biotechnology and digitalization can contribute to sustainability
• Cultural differences and conflict potential
